UNTOLD ARTS SAYS MANY THING WHICH IS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND BY THE AUDIENCE / VISITORS: SUN TEMPLE OR SOLAR TEMPLE

Sun temple is a building which is dedicated in the name of Sun or solar deity. The Sun temples were built in different eras  and by different civilizations during the existence of their period and also found in different places in the world like India, Peru, Japan & Egypt. During the excavation of earth, these temples are discovered.

At present I am talking about the “SUN TEMPLE AT KONARK”.  In the world, there are many sun temples which are discovered in damage situations except the Konark. Everyone knows that this temple was constructed in the name of King Lagula Narashimhadeva or Narasimhadeva-I during 1250. In the said construction total labour were engaged is 1200 labours and took 12 years to complete the temple and the revenue was expenses during that period Rs. 84 crore. The head of the labour was Mr. Subai Maharana and his Son's name was Dharmapada.

I am not here to tell the story of the temple but the untold event which one ever sees why this temple is unique in comparison to others.

In my mind I have doubts i.e. whether a second sun temple is possible similar to Konark?

Answer is no. But why no?

This temple is unique and second temple with compare to Konark is not possible. I am not interested to say about the story of construction but in view of technical. the work “KONARK” derived from two Sanskrit work which means “KONA “ which means “Conner point” and “ARKA” which mean “SUN”. this is the only one point in world where the first ray of sun fall. This is the miracle that the first ray of sun falls on the top of the temple and thereafter “GARBHA GHRUHA”.  During the construction time, the labour made such a situation that Lord Sun was in the air. And when the first ray of sun fell down on the Ideal of lord SUN, the whole temple became lighting. And the rising of the sun and the lighting of the temple are co-related to each other. When the sunset,  I mean after afternoon, the light in the temple comes down. This concept is till yet only one concept which is not possible for us to create a second temple.

Another point is the while of Konark. This is not normal which increases the beauty of the temple. This wheel shows the time. When the ray of the sun falls on the wheel which creates the shadow of the wall. The said shadow shows the time. There are 24 wheels and 12 wheels on each side. The said 24 wheel represents the 24 hours. Nowadays the human civilization is using very advanced science and technology but still it is not possible to create the second SUN temple.

ABOUT THE UNTOLD ARTS

Everybody goes to the sun temple and takes snaps and enjoy the beauty of the temple. Among all the visitors few may notice about the arts which are decorated on the wall of the temple. Many arts are shown the nudity. Anyone have raised the question of why those nudity arts are on the temple wall?

Many individuals may not know the facts of the arts. The laborers left their family and came to Konark for the construction of the temple. And there were 1200 workers from young to old. On the order of King they all were there to complete the work. all workers were not in the same mind and psychology. The workers shared their feelings and gave those feelings a shape of Arts. among those arts you may find the relationship of husband and wife, mother and son relationship, brother relationship even can get the gay relationship also.   The erotic feeling which are based on women. In the said arts you may find the woman dancer, woman musician etc. I came to the conclusion that during that period what happened that occurrences are placed on the wall. And during that time also sexual relations had more importance but other work also had.

The workers were not only sharing their feelings but giving those feeling life in the arts. The arts are not confined with the nudity or erotic feeling but many more things. I have taken some snaps where I find that during that period, Orissa / Kalinga had a good relationship with other states like Egypt. The traders were gone there for the purpose of trade.

ABOUT WHEEL

The wheel represents the hour. There are 24 wheels which indicate the 24 hours. Many individuals enjoy the wheel and take snaps because only in this temple have this type of wheel. If you deeply watch the photo while you may get some art inside the wheel. In the wheel there are divided into 8 parts. According to me, three hour will be one part of the wheel. If anyone sees carefully to the wheel, may find out some arts in there. What should do in that hour that is demonstrated on the said wheel daily work.

The importance of the wheel is that it shows the time, when and what should to do, if the time once pass that never come back again and the life of human being is full of maya. If you born as a human being then you should follow some principle when are demonstrated on the wheel.

TRADITION AND CULTURE

On the wall of the temple has also indicated the culture and tradition during that period. I found some arts that show the tradition of Kartik Masha (October –November), elephants used by the Kind and during the function or ceremony, the hours were used. During the occasion time, the king called the guest from the other kingdom as chief guest.

It is also proved that the peoples have faith in Gods and they worship the Gods. Some part I find out which relates to the God of snakes. As per the Hindu myth, king Cobra is the holy snake. And in some parts, the workers art about the lord Krishna and related to him also.

DOOR OF THE TEMPLE:

When I see the temple, I find out that the entrance into the temple is closed by the stones but the border of the door is constructed with black stone. On the said border I find out some designs were created. I have the impression that on the border of the entrance have some ancient languages  which were written by the leading worker. This temple has one two entrance parts i.e. are faced towards north and east direction.

Outside of the temple I find out that the ideal of lord Vishnu is on the mid way towards the top of the temple. The ideal of lord Vishnu was constructed with a black stone. Since it is an old sun temple, many parts of the temple are covered and some parts are destroyed.
