CULTURE OF AUSTRALIA: MODERN GENERATION

 




 

Australia is situated in the south pole of the world. Australia  is very mature in his culture. it is occupied nearly 76,92,024 Sq. KM and it is the 6th position in the world due to its size. There are many type, castes, religion and color people can seen and main thing that its population is nearly 2,56,51,500 as per 2020 senses. Due to its population it is occupied at 54th serial in highest population list. Once open a time British’s (Great Britain / UK) was ruled over the Australia and Australia become independence on 01-01-1901 and form the Federal Government. The Capital of Australia is Canberra but actual Sydney is the largest City of Australia. Original Australians have an Oral Culture with spiritual values based on worship for the land.

There are 613 airports including all the International Airports, Private Airports, Domestic Airports, and Military Airports of the Australia.

The outside of national politics, Australians generally treat and accept people of all backgrounds equally and may simply relate more to those whom they share similarities with. Australians have largely hold the cultural variety refugees and the country continually draws upon these influences to build its own developing national character.

 

Australia is originally the home of the many indigenous people who have been here since ancient times (prior to British Ruled). Since the country was under the control of colony in the eighteenth century, the country developed due to its own flavor and its own national identity.

 

The most people do generally maintain a relaxed approach about things. There is a fixable cultural tendency towards the circumstances may be come close to. FLAG

Like other country, Australia also has its own flag where one can find five stars. The National Flag of Australia has three elements one is blue color background, five stars and southern cross. Except national flag other two flags like Australian Aboriginal Flag and Torres Strait islander Flag.

 


WORLD WAR AND CULTURE

 

Great Britain declared war against Germany on 4th August, 1914 and this war continued till 11th November, 1918. In this war all country of world  taken participate for which this war is called  World war (1st). At the time The World War-I, many Australian Solder had taken part on behalf Great Britain and defend for Great Britain.   On September 3, 1939, France and Britain declared waragainst Germany (NAZI Party) for which the World War II started and Australia stood  against Germany and Italy in Europeans well as against Japan in south-east Asia.  After the second war ( 1939 to 1944), nearly 6.5 million migrants from other  nations brought immense new assortment. Pass the time, the different food, lifestyle and cultural practices of immigrants / refugees have been absorbed into conventional Australian culture.


The amount of the total population ,  Christian are increased from 71% in 1996 to around 61.1% in 2011. While people affiliated with non-Christian religions increased from around 3.5% to 7.2% over the same period. Increased immigration from South-East Asia has been a major factor to growth Buddhism most rapidly from 1.1% to 2.5%  over the period of  respectively but Australians of Anglo-Celtic origin have also shown interest in Buddhism. Islam increased during the period 1996 and 2011 from 1.1% to 2.2%  respectively with diverse communities concentrated mainly in Sydney and Melbourne. The history of the Jews in Australia dates back to the First Fleet, which brought Jewish convicts to Sydney in 1788. Today, many Jews in Australia originated as refugees and Holocaust survivors who arrived during and after World War II. Hindus came to Australia as laborers and merchants during the 19th century and numbers increased dramatically from the 1960.


BREWERY

           



Australia's reputation as a nation of heavy drinkers goes back to the earliest days of colonial Sydney. The rum was used as currency and grain scarcity followed the setting up of the first stills. James Squires was founded Australia's first commercial brewery in 1798 and the Cascade Brewery in Hobart had been operating since 1832. Since 1970s, Australian beers have become increasingly popular globally, with Foster's Lager being an iconic export. However Foster's is not the biggest seller on the local market.

Some people, the idea that everyone has culture could be new. This is particularly true for people who are part of mainstream society. In this case, trying to identify your culture may be challenging at first. Sometimes it becomes clearer when you think about your culture in light of someone else. The holidays celebrate, the types of food eat, the clothing wear and the way you approach events such as births, deaths and marriages are different from other culture.

 

Australia has an exciting calendar of events and festivals, where locals and tourists alike gather to celebrate food, sport, art or culture. Australia hosts a huge number of world-renowned sporting events like the Australian Open tennis tournament and Sydney to Hobart yacht race. When it comes to food, the Western Australia Gourmet get away is a highlight while Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras celebrates our diversity and sees people come together from all over the world. Of course, Australia’s sense of humor has hatched more than a few quirky events.

Australian English is the country’s official language and is the first language of the majority of the population. Australian English differs from other varieties of English in vocabulary, accent, pronunciation, grammar and spelling.


HERITAGE

Australians are proud of the fact that a nation of convicts and working-class individuals could build a modern democratic society in a forceful and unfriendly land. They typically disparagement the arrogant and affected and they are often characterized as informal .  An impression promoted by the typical and now internationally recognized greeting among “mates” and “sheilas”: Good day. Their flavor in popular fashions and entertainment differ little from those in Europe and North America.

 

Australia is a vibrant, multicultural country and the world’s oldest continuous cultures, as well as Australians who identify with more than 270 ancestries. Since 1945, almost seven million people have migrated to Australia. 


TRAVEL RELATION

The younger generation in particular, is becoming increasingly culturally aware with many seeing overseas experiences as a ritual of passage towards maturity. Moreover, world travel is now a popular aspiration in the minds of most seeking more international introduction. Broadly, the Australian public is developing an desire for new experiences and actively seeking different things.


MUSIC AND POP


Australian musicians also have made important contributions to the development of rock music, which has been central to Australian popular culture since the late 1950s, when Americans Bill Haley and His Comets first brought rock and roll to Australia. In 1958 Johnny O’Keefe became the first Australian rock and roll singer to reach the national charts, with his hit “Wild One.”  The first Australian rockers to have an impact outside the country who formed an immigrant hostel near Sydney. And  two brothers would later be key contributors to one of Australia’s biggest musical exports, superstar heavy metal band.
