WHY PYRAMIDS WERE CONSTRUCTED


 


WHAT IS PYRAMID? 

Pyramid is specially one building of  stone and a symbol of Royal tomb of ancient Egypt which shows the hidden culture and  hidden treasure of Egypt. 

All pyramids are not in the list of seven Wonders but great pyramid of Giza is in the said list and it is the very oldest and interesting part of seven Wonders. Many professors of archeologists were / are engaged in this pyramid to discover new news like door, what are in it, what it is made, who made it and status of this symbol.

Archeologists have doubt constructedand also argued between themselves with regard to who and why  made pyramid and which period it was constructed. 

 

CONSTRUCTION OF PYRAMID

 

 The outer structure of pyramid is triangular and converge to a single step at the top and making the shape roughly a pyramid in the geometric sense. Some researchers have indicated that the civilization of  ancient Egyptian constructed this pyramid through geometric way and they might aware of geometric. Before construction of pyramid they might build a sample of the main pyramid which gave the basic idea of construction. 

Except great pyramid, other pyramid have four side of a pyramid. And top is always sharpened. Many movies the picture of pyramid has used because of ancient. 

 

The base of a pyramid can be trilateral, quadrilateral, or of any polygon shape. As such, a pyramid has at least three outer triangular surfaces (at least four faces including the base). The square pyramid, with a square base and four triangular outer surfaces, is a common version.

 

 

 

 

 

 

With the Egyptian Revival movement in the nineteenth and early twentieth century, pyramids were becoming more common in funerary architecture. This style was especially popular with tycoons in the US. Hunt's Tomb in Phoenix, Arizona and Schoenhofen Pyramid Mausoleum in Chicago are some of the notable examples. Even today some people build pyramid tombs for themselves. Nicolas Cage bought a pyramid tomb for himself in a famed New Orleans graveyard.

 

 

HOW MANY PYRAMIDS ARE IN PRESENT DAY?

 

There are many type of pyramid which are still stand since ancient period. Such type of pyramid constructed in different places in world, different period of ancient era and constructed by different rulers. They made such wonder full statue  for which their name are written golden place and remember all person and seen some school / college books.

 

WHY PYRAMIDS WERE CONSTRUCTED

 

According to geographically pyramid were constructed in various designed. According to some historical book pyramid  were constructed for the shake off their (citizen of that time) dead king. Civilization of that time had some tradition and rituals after the death of the King and the dead body was storage with covering sarcophagus and made some name and design over the said sarcophagus. Some time we may call the said dead body as “MUMMY”. At the time, the civilization were made mummification process to storage the dead body for a long period.  In the said process used salt containing sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride and sodium sulfate.

 

The solder of the king takes the sarcophagus along with the used articles like gold, diamonds, furnitures, ornaments and many more.  The size of pyramid and the quantity of articles were depending upon the reputation of king (how much popular / reputation of king among others).

The pyramid are presently seen all over the world but design, way of construction are depended upon the geographical area. The following are the pyramid and place:-

 

 


EGYPT

 

If someone open the history book will find two things i.e. Egypt and pyramid. Egypt is famous due the pyramid and its culture. A large number of pyramid are found in everywhere in Egypt. Some time the pyramid as the symbol of power of at that time king and strong religious belief. Some of famous pyramid of Egypt are the Pyramid of Menkaure, the Pyramid of Khafre and the great Pyramid of Khufu.

 

THE PYRAMID OF MENKAURE

 

This pyramid is the smallest pyramid of Gaza among three famous pyramid and the height is 204 feet with base of 356 feet. Till date the age of the Pyramid is unknown. The reason is that nowhere in the scripts mention the rulling period of Menkure’s. This pyramid was discovered by Richard Vyse in the year 1835.

 

THE PYRAMID OF KHAFRE

 

This pyramid is the second largest at Gaza among three pyramid. The size of the pyramid is 450 feet height and 710 feet length and constructed with huge quantity  of limestone. This pyramid was discovered by Giovanni Belzoni in the year of 1819. According to history books, the son of khufu had built this pyramid during his ruling period.

 

GIZA – GREAT PYRAMID OF KHUFU

 

The Great Pyramid of Khufu is one of the seven wonder of world.  This pyramid was built by Pharaoh Khufu. The age of the said pyramid no one known but on the basis of scholars the age of the pyramid is nearly 4700 years back. This pyramid shows the ruling period of 4th dynasty of king Khufu. The height of the pyramid is nearly 480 feet and length is nearly 760 feet.

 

THE DJOSER PYRAMID

The Djoser Pyramid was built by the son of Khasekhemwy and he was the last king of the Second Dynast of Egypt. The history says that it is the oldest Pyramid among others and this pyramid id the first stone pyramid. A large numbers of monuments were constructed during the period of Djuser. The ruling period of Djoser is unclear  but nearly 2667 BC. The present status of the pyramid is at the stage of destroy.

 

In present day most of the pyramids are located near Cairo at Egypt but only one royal pyramid being located south of Cairo at Egypt., The pyramid at Abydos, Egypt were commissioned by Ahmose-I, who founded the 18th Dynasty and the New Kingdom. The building of pyramids began in the Third Dynasty with the reign of King Djoser. Early kings such as Snefru built several pyramids, with subsequent kings adding to the number of pyramids until the end of the Middle Kingdom.


        The Mesopotamians built the earliest pyramidal structures, called ziggurats. In ancient times, these were brightly painted in gold/bronze. Since they were constructed of sun-dried mud-brick, little remains of them. Ziggurats were built by the Sumerians, Babylonians, Elamites, Akkadians, and Assyrians for local religions
