ASTROLOGICAL
SIGN
What
is Astrological Sign?
It is a common word “Rashi” or “Horoscope” or
“Astrological sign”. Many person are believed on their horoscope and whenever they get a chance,
they may verify their horoscope in newspaper, horoscope books, or ask to a
Astrologer.
Some persons are verified their horoscope before
doing some work or going to attend any interview, purchasing land etc.
It’s
now been revealed that everything we thought, we knew about the zodiac was a
lie. In fact, a massive 86% of us were actually born under a different
constellation to our star sign, based on how the sky exists today and it’s all
to do with the “Earth’s wobble“.
Whether
you're looking for a weekly horoscope or a monthly horoscope, our team of
astrologers has you covered. Interested in the investigating another take on
this ancient process? Check out our Vedic or Chinese horoscopes. And there are
the matters of the heart. Thankfully, our love horoscopes can guide you through
even the murkiest moments.
It’s
the Sun and Moon’s gravitational influence on Earth’s equator that causes
precession. As the position of the north celestial pole changes, so does the
apparent location of the stars, constellations, and the equinox and solstice
points. Crucially, precession causes the plane of the ecliptic to shift
slightly.
When it comes to those connections, Sagittarius are most tied to the creative
and crafty signs who are also members of the fire element triplicity: Aries and
Leo. Sags are also mutable signs, making them versatile enough to build
closeness with anyone.
While
the element and modality of a sign are together sufficient to define it, they
can be grouped to indicate their symbolism. The first four signs, Aries,
Taurus, Gemini and Cancer, form the group of personal signs. The next four
signs, Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio form the group of interpersonal signs. The
last four signs of the zodiac, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces,
form the group of transpersonal signs.
As
such, Ophiuchus (The name Ophiuchus comes
from two Greek words ) is considered a healer of men, a
doctor of medicine, or a scientist who seeks higher education and
enlightenment. He’s also an interpreter of dreams, favored by his father
and other authority figures, and expected to achieve a high position in life.
Psychologically-oriented
astrologers often believe that Saturn is the ruler or co-ruler of Aquarius
instead of Uranus; Neptune is the ruler or co-ruler of Pisces instead of
Jupiter, and that Pluto is the ruler or co-ruler of Scorpio instead of Mars.
Some astrologers believe that the planetoid Chiron may be the ruler of Virgo,
while other group of modern astrologers claims that Ceres is the ruler of
Taurus instead.
Each
of the zodiac signs is also associated with a planet, called its ruler. This
planet exerts a stronger influence over a given sign than any other planet. It
affects how your zodiac sign interacts with others, approaches life, and forms
relationships.
The
last earth sign of the zodiac, Capricorn is represented by the sea goat, a
mythological creature with the body of a goat and tail of a fish. Accordingly,
Capricorns are skilled at navigating both the material and emotional realms.

predictions.
VIRGO
(AUGUST 23 - SEPTEMBER 22)
Virgo
is an earth sign historically represented by the goddess of wheat and
agriculture, an association that speaks to Virgo’s deep-rooted presence in the
material world. Virgos are logical, practical, and systematic in their approach
to life. This earth sign is a perfectionist at heart and isn’t afraid to
improve skills through diligent and consistent practice.
LIBRA
(SEPTEMBER 23 - OCTOBER 22)
Libra
is an air sign represented by the scales (interestingly, the only inanimate
object of the zodiac), an association that reflects Libra's fixation on balance
and harmony. Libra is obsessed with symmetry and strives to create equilibrium
in all areas of life.
SCORPIO
(OCTOBER 23 - NOVEMBER 21)
Scorpio
is one of the most misunderstood signs of the zodiac. Because of its incredible
passion and power, Scorpio is often mistaken for a fire sign. In fact, Scorpio
is a water sign that derives its strength from the psychic, emotional realm.
LEO:
JULY 23 - AUGUST 22
Leo,
the King of the jungle, the Leo sign is represented by "the lion" and
is ruled by the Sun. If you know a Leo, then you probably also know that making
a good impression is their number one priority. "This sign’s creativity
and fiery magnetism puts this sign at the center stage of life," Montúfar
says.It also makes sense then that the Leo is connected to the fire element,
since their upbeat energy and passion makes them perfect for being at the forefront
of people's attention.
SAGITTARIUS
(NOVEMBER 22 - DECEMBER 21)
Represented
by the archer, Sagittarians are always on a quest for knowledge. The last fire
sign of the zodiac, Sagittarius launches its many pursuits like blazing arrows,
chasing after geographical, intellectual, and spiritual adventures.
Never
heard of fixed signs before? Turns out, there are things called
"quadruplicities" in astrology. "The concept of quadruplicate
refers to the other way the 12 zodiac signs are divided by modality, forming a
tense square with each other," says Montúfar. There are three modalities:
cardinal, fixed, and mutable. The fixed signs include Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and
Aquarius, all of whom are determined, stable, and follow through on their
goals.
Aries
signs are symbolized by the ram, and yeah, they love being leader of the pack.
"Because they're ruled by Mars and are the first fire and cardinal sign,
Aries prefer to initiate rather than to complete," says Montufar.
Basically, if you've got a project you need to get done or a recipe you've been
dying to try, call an Aries for a kick-start.
King
of the jungle, the Leo sign is represented by "the lion" and is ruled
by the Sun. If you know a Leo, then you probably also know that making a good
impression is their number one priority. "This sign’s creativity and fiery
magnetism puts this sign at the center stage of life," Montúfar says.
In Indian astrology, there are five elements: fire, earth, air, water, and
ether. The master of fire is Mars, while Mercury is of earth, Saturn of air,
Venus of water, and Jupiter of ether.
You
know those scales of justice symbols that represents Libra. An intellectual
sign ruled by the planet Venus, they're basically the epitome of beauty,
balance, harmony, and a sense of fair play. (Get it, Scales, Balance)Along with
Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn, when it comes to quadruplicate, Libras fall under
the cardinal sign modality. Because cardinal signs are the initiators of the
zodiac, each of these signs are super quick and ambitious.
Virgo
zodiac symbol: The Virgin - because of their pure intentions, and their modest,
conscientious nature. They’re often pictured holding a sheaf of wheat which symbolizes
the fertilization of ideas / skills to benefit the world.
Along
with Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn, when it comes to quadruplicate, Libras fall
under the cardinal sign modality. Because cardinal signs are the initiators of
the zodiac, each of these signs are super quick and ambitious.
Aquarius
is the "water bearer." Ruled by Saturn and Uranus, people born under
this sign are often humanitarian-focused, visionaries, and progressive souls
interested in making the world a much better place.
Aquarius
often comes off as an oddball - they have quirky personalities and quietly go
about accomplishing their goals in quiet and unorthodox ways.
Oftentimes, just because Aquarius chooses to take the path less traveled, the
results of their eccentric methods are surprisingly effective. They
are the humanitarians of the zodiac, taking up banners for the greater
good of humanity. Many of them are also easy going and their
peculiarity alongside their curious nature make them
fast friendships. Sometimes, if they don't strive to motivate
themselves, they can succumb to laziness. Many are often gifted with
a strong sense of art and poetry.
These
four elements help describe the unique personality types associated with
astrological signs. The four zodiac elements exhibit profound influence on
basic character traits, emotions, behavior and thinking.
CHINESE
ASTROLOGICAL
Chinese
astrological signs operate on cycles of years, lunar months, and two-hour
periods of the day (also known as shichen). A particular feature of the Chinese
zodiac is its operation in a 60-year cycle in combination with the Five Phases
of Chinese astrology (Wood, Fire, Metal, Water and Earth). Nevertheless, some researchers
say that there is an obvious relationship between the Chinese 12-year cycle and
zodiac constellations: each year of the cycle corresponds to a certain disposal
of Jupiter. For example, in the year of Snake Jupiter is in the Sign of Gemini,
in the year of Horse Jupiter is in the Sign of Cancer and so on. So the Chinese
12-year calendar is a solar-lunar-jovian calendar. Literally the “light from
the circle of animals,” zodiacal light is known as the “false dawn” and “false
dusk” when it appears around the September and March equinoxes, respectively.
Zodiacal light is sunlight reflecting off dust in the Solar System—the building
blocks of the planets, and the leftovers of comets.
People born
under the Taurus zodiac sign are often incredibly dedicated, reliable and
dependable. Above all things, they value their sense of security and
stability. After Aries brings its fiery energy, it is Taurus that lays
down the foundations and follows through. They tend to be
rather stubborn and dislike change. When they settle with a routine
that they like, it can take much effort to get them to change.
Chinese
astrology is based on the traditional astronomy. The development of Chinese
astrology is tied to that of astronomy which came to flourish during the Han
Dynasty. The Chinese Zodiac is one of the oldest known horoscope systems in the
world and consists of twelve animals that represent a certain year. According
to Chinese astrology, the year of a person's birth is represented by one of
these animals. The twelve animal signs or zodiac symbols are Rat, Ox, Tiger,
Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. Chinese
astrology also has five elements of nature namely: water, wood, fire, earth and
metal. According to Chinese astrology, a person's destiny can be determined by
the position of the planets and the positions of the Sun and Moon at the
person's time of birth. Chinese believe that our birth year can determine our
attitude and potential and that animal birth signs have symbolism and represent
a specific behavior.
It’s
really easy to find Ophiuchus at this time of year. Go outside tonight and look
generally to the east, then upwards and you’ll see the “Summer
Triangle”—defined by the three bright stars Vega, Deben and below them, Aquila.
Now find Jupiter and Saturn low on the southeast horizon. Ophiuchus is a vast,
house-like large constellation to the right side of a line between Jupiter and
Vega.
Gemini
is a mutable sign, along with Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. These signs are
all versatile and resourceful—basically the ones who put the final touches on
projects. Each quadruplicity grouping indicates obstacles and challenges
between the zodiac signs that will eventually lead to personal growth, Mont far
explains.
Two
important tenets of astrology are "triplicities" and
"quadruplicities" because they reveal even more about a specific
sign's characteristics. Each zodiac sign falls one of four triplicities (fire,
earth, air, or water) and one of three quadruplicities (cardinal signs, fixed
signs, and mutable signs).
The
five elements operate together with the twelve animal signs in a 60-year
calendar. The five elements appear in the calendar in both their yin and yang
forms and are known as the ten Celestial stems. When trying to calculate the
relevant year of the cycle in relation to the Gregorian calendar, an easy rule
to follow is that years, that end in an even number are Yang (representing
masculine, active and light), those that end with an odd number are Yin
(representing feminine, passive and darkness).
Unfortunately,
those born under the Scorpio zodiac sign are often
misunderstood. They are quite bold, with intense personalities and
feelings that hide underneath their cool exterior. They are capable people that
can complete great and massive projects with control and confidence. Their
intensity when approaching a situation means that they
can surmount almost all obstacles if they can truly put
their mind to the task. Many Scorpios have an unshakable focus when
they need to call on it. However, they are often secretive, seeming withdrawn
and uninterested, when they are actually keenly observing.
According
to professional Chinese astrology, a person's personality and life is more
decided by his/her birth hour than year. Zodiac hours, days, months, and years
are used together for in-depth character and destiny analysis. In popular
astrology, by contrast, only the birth year is used.
MAYAN
ASTROLOGY
Mayan
astrology is based on the Mayan calendar and it's one of the most
forward-thinking kinds of astrology. The Mayan calendar or Tzolkin is based on
the intangible energy of the cosmos and the evolution of creation. The Tzolkin
calendar consists of twenty day signs (solar tribes) and thirteen Galactic
numbers, making a 260-day calendar year. Ancient Mayans believed that in order
to have peace and harmony in life, you had to understand and align yourself
with this universal energy. Each of these twenty signs represents a day in a
Mayan calendar, thus allowing individuals of different months and years to share
the same day glyph. One's Mayan day sign defines his/her personality.
Taurus
is an earth sign represented by the bull. Like their celestial spirit animal,
Taureans enjoy relaxing in serene, bucolic environments surrounded by soft
sounds, soothing aromas, and succulent flavors.
Dane
Rudhyar presented the tropical zodiac primary factors, used in the curriculum
of the RASA School of Astrology. The tropical zodiac is the zodiac of seasonal
factors as opposed to the sidereal zodiac (constellation factors). The primary
seasonal factors are based on the changing ratio of sunlight and darkness
across the year. The first factor is whether the chosen time falls in the half
of the year when daylight is increasing, or the half of the year when darkness
is increasing. The second factor is whether the chosen time falls in the half
of the year when there is more daylight than darkness, or the half when there
is more darkness than daylight. The third factor is which of the four seasons
the chosen time falls in, defined by the first two factors.
Thus
your horoscope is probably wrong because the Sun probably isn’t in the sign of
the zodiac when astrology says it is. Of course, that doesn’t matter a jot, but
understanding why will give you a deeper understanding of the planet you live
on.
